Wahju has built a distinguished career within Indonesia's governmental and public sector legal landscape, with extensive expertise in regulatory oversight, government audit, and transportation sector governance. He most recently served as Inspector IV at the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, a position he assumed through a formal rotation in March 2024. In this role, his responsibilities encompassed the oversight and monitoring of logistics and holiday-season (mudik) transportation operations, as well as providing support for the development of national transportation infrastructure.
Beyond his role as Inspector IV, Wahju was entrusted with the position of Daily Chairman of the Ministry of Transportation's Transportation Information Center (Pusintrans) beginning September 2025. Earlier in his career at the Inspectorate General, he served as Inspector III, where he was responsible for conducting Special Purpose Audits (Audit Dengan Tujuan Tertentu/ADTT) relating to public transportation services. He also held the role of Acting Inspector of Investigations, during which he led the monitoring and evaluation of the Inaportnet system across various ports in Indonesia, oversaw the selection process for civil service positions within the Ministry, and served as Head of the Ministry's Legal Bureau. Together, these roles gave him a comprehensive understanding of the legal, regulatory, and operational dimensions of Indonesia's transportation sector.
In addition to his structural role within the Ministry, Wahju’s experience extends into the state-owned enterprise sector, where he was appointed by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises to serve on the Board of Commissioners of PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero/PELNI) beginning March 2020. This appointment further deepened his exposure to corporate governance, oversight, and compliance matters within Indonesia's shipping and logistics industry. His combined experience across government regulatory bodies and state-owned shipping enterprises equips him with a well-rounded and practical understanding of the legal and regulatory dynamics governing Indonesia's transportation, shipping, and logistics sectors.
Wahju holds a Bachelor of Laws (S.H.) as his foundational legal qualification, complemented by a Diplôme d'Études Supérieures Spécialisées (DESS), together with several professional certifications in government performance auditing: Certified Government Officer Professional (CGOP), Certified Lead Auditor (CLA), and Certified Government Chief Audit Executive (CGCAE). This combination of legal training and specialized audit certifications enables him to provide clients with practical, regulation-grounded advice that reflects both institutional insight and technical rigor in the transportation and shipping sectors.
