Bagus graduated from Atmajaya Catholic University in 2006, he received his master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Gadjah Mada University in 2012. Bagus started his career as Anti Money Laundry Investigator in HSBC, a well-respected international financial institution in the banking industry, while he also served as Legal Advisor in the Accounting Firm KAP Bambang, Sutjipto Ngumar & Rekan and dealing with clients from diverse industries, such as manufacture, banking, services, and government compliance audit.
Since 2009, he has served a government institution and been assisting the said institution for preparing the relevant laws and regulations (including drafting), administration matters, and government procurement policy, structure, and mechanism. He took tremendous responsibility in representing such institution to negotiate with other government institutions which such representation requires dynamic observances and awareness considering the well-known Indonesia bureaucracy issues.
Since then, he has been strengthening his negotiation skill with the other stakeholder, including but not limited the international organization, the other state’s representative, the United Nations (UN) Bodies and non-UN bodies. It is known that the challenge for his tasks are to always ensure the institution’s position and points are strong under the international laws, since no inaccuracy is tolerable when an individual representing the Government of the Republic of Indonesia internationally.
In private sector, Bagus has been assisting multiple companies not only on its legal perspective points of view, but also in its commercial and business development perspective. With his strong negotiation skill and ability to think sharp and details, Bagus has succeeded to assist the private and government sector in the negotiation with both foreign and local government institutions and companies.
